Often working on a large scale, she is led by the physicality of the process, experimenting with diverse and dynamic mark making. Using painting’s inherent language, Eva is able to simplify her work to create bold, confident pieces that capture the essence of specific places, or natural events, with great atmosphere and a submersive quality. Ultimately she is interested in the comparison between the meditative space available to the viewer and being surrounded by nature itself.
