Catherine Greenwood - Waves of Tranquility
Collaborative artwork between Matt Gooderson and Catherine Greenwood aiming to push the boundaries between visual and sound experience originating in the wave form. Catherine is Printmaker and a musician and Matt is a electronic composer and also a Lecturer in creative thinking and process, the conversations between them has led to experimenting with this idea, a common theme: love of the natural world and wonder at the power of the sea. During the Covid Pandemic, the artists have exchanged work and the initial installation project they planned has transformed and evolved into this video combining music, dance and nature. Filmed locally in Ashdown Forest in Sussex.

Catherine Greenwood
Catherine is a printmaker creating etchings that express the energy of the natural world and a sense of awe and wonder it inspires. Fused with her passion for making music, Catherine is collaborating with composer Matt Gooderson on a new series of etchings and a music album 'Wavescape'. This work provides solace during the covid lockdown and expresses a longing for the sea. She studied at Camberwell School of Art, Kent Institute of Art & Design and gained an MA at the University of Maine, USA where she took part in innovative research into non-toxic printmaking methods. She has set up a Green Print Studio as a base to teach, lead art walks and research alternative printmaking methods.
